Biometano Energy is the first own plant operation project (OPO) under the new brand BIOP of the BIOGEST-Group.
BIOP holds a majority stake of 85% in the nominated project, which is built with the BIOGEST-PowerRing technology. The project integrates a closed-loop system that converts over 75,000 tons of chicken manure and vegetable processing residues —primarily fennel waste — into renewable biomethane, organic fertilizer, and food-grade CO₂. Future plans include the integration of photovoltaic systems to achieve energy self-sufficiency.
